Overview:
Crassula Ovata formally known as Crassula argentea The Jade Tree is an evergreen succulent native to South Africa where it grows on rocky hillsides under hot sunny conditions.  Rain there is frequent and usually occur during the late winter. Jade trees are capable of holding large quantities of water in their leaves for their survival in an arid habitat, in their natural environment plants grow 1-3m.

When the plant does flower usually late winter the bush is covered in masses of sweetly scented, pretty pale pink to white star shaped flowers in tight rounded bunches. Crassula is best grown in full sun, since leaf colour develops more fully in these conditions.
