Jades come from a frost free area, so watch extreme cold, the more water that is stored in the leaves the easier it is to damage. Frost settles downwards so avoid open spaces. Mild climates in and around buildings offer protection in the cooler months. Will tolerate dry air.
Once established in the garden can stand temperatures down to 1◦C. Flowers on short days.
Patios
With architects and builders creating space for entertainment and outdoor living. Jade comes into its own as a container plant. Outdoor areas need dressing up. Jade in containers on its own or in mixed combinations is an easy option.
